They did not consider those who live where it snows. From what I read Toyota did not even consider dipping the frame to rust proof it at all. I wish someone had told me that it should have been protected from all the rust in the beginning. I don't work so that is why the mileage is so low. My husband purchased it for me and I don't drive it much except he would drive it to work in the winter. I just hate that I only have 30,000 miles on it. I heard that in 2009 they made them better. It was great for the winters and I am going to miss it but I will not ever buy another toyota. It is no longer safe to drive on the highway only the side roads. Now 2021 and the entire frame and bumper is totally rusted. I purchased the 2007 Voodo Blue FJ Cruiser when it was first released and loved the look of it and how it drove and everything about it until first of all the entire brake system rusted out on me and I had to replace it for over three thousand dollars.
